Earle’s Restaurant

If you’ve been to Rocky Harbour, NL, I would wager a guess that you’ve had the good fortune to visit Earle’s. Not many who pass through miss it, as this is the spot the locals will be sure to recommend. On my last visit, our group sampled moose stew, moose burgers, fish and chips and moose pot pie, all of which were absolutely delicious! Also available is a moose soup and a very popular moose pizza.

Opened 14 years ago by John and Ruby Earle, the operation has been a real family affair; the restaurant is run with the help of their two daughters.

The unassuming restaurant is located by the water, at the bottom of the main thoroughfare, and both times we were there it was packed. The atmosphere mixes a little eclectic with a whole lot of homey. There is something special about the owner cooking the meals while his wife takes the orders; you just know with this kind of hands-on service no detail will go unmissed!

Nothing fancy, but plenty of good downhome hospitality.

This seasonal operation runs from the first of May until the end of September. Phone: 709-458-3100.
