Ingredients
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
- 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (250 mL) water
- 1 cup (250 mL) honey
- ½ cup (125 mL) light soy sauce
- ½ tsp (2 mL) hot sauce
- ½ tsp (2 mL) coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) corn starch, dissolved in ¼ cup (50 mL) water
Preparation
In a saucepan, heat oil and add garlic. Sauté until soft but not brown. Add water, honey, soy sauce, hot sauce and pepper. Let mixture simmer for a few minutes then add the cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute after it thickens. Set aside.
