It was a few weeks before Christmas and all through the house,
People were looking for their December issue of Saltscapes, including the mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
With hopes that their favourite East Coast magazine would be there.

The children were snuggled all cozy in bed,
While their parents found something less interesting to read instead.

The stories we are missing, the local ads where are they?
Please tell me Santa has our magazine in his sleigh!

We must be patient, says Santa.
There is nothing I can do.

Canada Post is in a quandary.
The government's hands are tied too.

We hope they can fix things in time for the big day.
Your parcels and Saltscapes are all in delay. There is not much more I can say.

As soon as the mail gets moving again,
Your Saltscapes subscription will fly through the air like the reindeer at night.

Until then we wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you understand this unfortunate plight.
