Corn Bread
Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) flour
1 cup (250 mL) cornmeal
2/3 cup (160 mL) sugar
1 teaspoon (5 mL) salt
3 1/2 teaspoons (17 mL) baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup (250 mL) milk
1/3 cup (80 mL) canola oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC). Grease a 9" (23 cm) round pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients and add to the dry. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes.
