
Valley Flax Pizza Dough
Ingredients
¾ cup (175 mL) warm water1 tsp (5 mL) sugar
¼ tsp (1 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) instant yeast
1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable or olive oil
⅓ cup (75 mL) flax flour, brownor golden
1½ cup (375 mL) wheat flour
Directions
Combine warm water, sugar, salt and yeast in a bowl. Whisk in oil and flax flour; stir in wheat flour. On a lightly floured counter, work the dough until it is smooth and elastic, adding in flour as needed to keep it from becoming sticky.
Set dough aside for 30 minutes, then pull and press or roll dough into a medium-size pizza, smaller if you prefer a thick crust.
